02Who it is for, and why Odoo

Who we build it for.

Air and sea consolidators, freight forwarders and cargo agents with their own warehouses, usually running the operation on Excel sheets, WhatsApp groups and one experienced person's memory. That works until the volumes grow.

We build it on Odoo so the cargo operation and the accounts run on one platform and month-end reconciles cleanly. We recommend Odoo Enterprise, and there is an optional monthly support plan after go-live.

03Questions we get asked

Cargo on Odoo, answered.

Does it handle both air and sea?
Yes, both. Air shipments and sea containers go through the same receiving, consolidation, invoicing and collection process, and a customer with cargo on both has one account and one balance.
Can it run the origin side and the Kenya side together?
Yes. The origin warehouse and the Kenyan side run in one system with one login, and Nairobi sees what happens at origin as it happens.
Can customers really track cargo without calling us?
Yes. Tracking is on your website, so a customer checks status with their reference. A portal login goes further and shows each customer their own cargo, invoices, payments and balance only.
Can it stop cargo leaving before payment?
Yes. The system blocks release while there is an outstanding balance. Only management can approve an exception, and each one is recorded.
What about our rates and currencies?
Rates are set by management per lane and shipping method, and staff quote from that rate card. Invoicing works in KES, USD, CNY, AED, INR and the other currencies your lanes use.
What happens after go-live?
We train your team and then support the system. There is an optional monthly support plan covering fixes, questions, small changes and upgrades, with a 24-hour weekday response. Without a plan, we still help when you call, and each request is quoted and billed on its own.
